John Pooler Demonstration street scene in watercolour 6.11.13

Virginia Water Art Society enjoyed the demonstration given by John Pooler this evening. John took us through the stages of his painting explaining as he went what colours, brushed and techniques he used. he painted two scenes and work on one whilst the other dried and then went back to the first one to finish it off and in this way allowed his first washes of colour to dry before applying a second layer.  As we have the camera he was able to work flat with quite wet washes of colour.  We welcomed members of Sunningdale Art Society which is due to close in December and visitors from East Molsey so we had quite a good size audience and thanks to the camera everyone was able to see very well.
